It is a habitual practice of the people who work in the European Commission, Joint Research Centre, Institute of Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS) at Seville, to organize cultural events within the frame of the presidency of the Council of the European Union.



From January 1st, to June 30th, 2014,  the presidency is held by Greece and the Greek community of IPTS is organising a number of events for presenting and promoting the Greek culture in the context of the so called Hellenic Semester.
